JOSHUA, TEXAS – Violet Marie Wilcox passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 76 of bladder cancer. Marie was born on February 07, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Cassie and Henry Morgan. After graduating from Brewer High School in 1966, she attended Navarro College to study cosmetology, a field she worked in for many years.
Marie was devoted to her family, friends and faith. She was an energetic woman who greeted each day with a smile, exhibiting traits of optimism, loyalty, strength, compassion, generosity and beauty. She loved to travel and shop for antiques.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Cassie and Henry Morgan, her sister Doris Blackburn and her brother Jerry Morgan. She is survived by her husband Michael Wilcox; sons: Jimmy Brock, Allen Brock and Jerry Brock; grandchildren: Jeremy Brock, Heather Odem, Kortni Emrick, Tristan Brock, Aria Brock, Vincent Brock, Isaac Brock and Azaria Brock; great grandchildren: Leighton Baccus and Addison Torres.
A visitation for Violet will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
