Virginia Sue Davis was born on January 7, 1938, in Bartlett, TX, to the loving arms of Mrs. Earline Arnold Davis and Mr. Willie Davis. She grew up surrounded by love and laughter, later graduating from Bartlett Colored School, now known as Booker T. Washington.
In 1950, she met the love of her life, Burns H. Ellis, and together they built a beautiful family, blessing the world with wonderful children: Sharon (Robert) Stuckey of Fort Worth, TX; the late Larry Dean Ellis (2002); the late Michael Ray Ellis (2021); Steven Ray (Sandra) Ellis Sr of McKinney, TX; and Pamela Ellis of Jacksonville, TX.
Virginia had a heart full of kindness and a spirit of determination. She devoted her life to caring for others as a dedicated nurse and successful businesswoman, owning and operating her janitorial cleaning service for many years. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her cherished grandchildren: Donald Davis, Chris Ellis, Deleon Ellis, Eric Ellis, Monique Ellis, Tajae Brown, Steven Ellis Jr.and Jamario Coleman. She also shared a special bond with her beloved sister, Lynda Sharon David. Her love extended far and wide, embracing nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Virginia’s kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of her delicious cooking, a gift she lovingly shared with everyone. Her laughter, wisdom, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Though she has journeyed home, her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to shine in all of us. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers (William Melvin Davis, Timothy Davis, Edward Eugene Davis, and Benjamin Davis) and sons (Larry Dean Ellis & Charles Micheal Ellis)
Forever in our hearts, always in our love.
