

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Merced U Herrera, Jr, her father, Felix Polando, her mother, Lillie Mae Ortiz, her sister, Lucille Jean Stone, her brothers, Pete Polando, Paul Polando, Domingo Polando, and Albert Polando.
She met her loving husband, Merced of forty-nine years where they settled in Fort Worth, TX and raised four children. She dedicated the majority of her life to being a supportive and loving wife, an amazing mother, and grandmother. Virginia was employed for many years at a large candy factory in Fort Worth where she met and established many lifelong friendships. She enjoyed traveling the world, cooking, gardening, and listening to various types of music. She was full of life and made an everlasting imprint on everyone she encountered.
Survivors: Her loving children: Mary Elaine Gomez, Diane (Stephen) Pardy, Irene Herrera, and Eddie Herrera, eight grandchildren: Rene Gomez, Jr, Joseph Torres, Matthew (Hope) Pardy, Vanessa Herrera, Christina (Jack) Santi, Analeeza Herrera, Antonio Ramos, Jr and Brianna Herrera, fourteen great-grandchildren: Rene, Issac, Susanah, Joseph, Olivia, Emory, Nehemiah, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Angelina, Nickolas, Jayce, Sarina and Romeo, her loving sister, Mary Soto, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
