I was deeply sorry to read of Virginia's passing. She was a wonderful, enthusiastic and funny lady, I  have missed seeing her since the move to Texas but more importantly I have missed her genuine friendship. May God bless you all at this sorrowful time.

Virginia has just received a 7 no-trump hand,bid, and made with
her new bridge club in heaven. Hallelujah Amen Virginia!!!! What a special, fun, crazy, great lady. She is and will be missed by so many Muskegonites: teachers, students, and friends. We have enjoyed thirty some years with Virginia at the bridge table, traveling,and family events. Our sympathy especially goes to Diane and Eric and grandchildren!  God Bless!  Ardy,Jeanne,Nancy

Thank-you for being my Mother. "  Romans 8:35, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long;we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No , in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am convinced that neither death nor life , neither angels nor demons , neither the present  nor the future , nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation , will be able to separate us from the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Virginia has been my dearest friend, I have shared half of my life with her. We were and still are close in spirit, I have a life time of memories. Her live revolved around teaching children which made her young at heart and fun.  Virginia was a problem solver, had great wisdom and faith.  She could recite and quote words from famous people at a drop of the hat, not too mention sing songs to realate to any situation.  One of our favorite pastime was "going junkin" as she called it.  This being going to the flea market on Wednesdays during her summer break,  What fun we had.   We just had fun being together talking about family and whatever was going on in our world.  I always love to see her wearing her demin hat with the sunflower attached. That was pure Virginia full of fun. We thought we would grow old together and be friends forever.  We did grow older but not together, Virginia had to move to TX so we said "good bye".Now she has moved again to a place where she can be a Free Spirit. You will always be in my heart dear friend and I'll love you forever, I miss you so much.  I'll be remembering you at NOON each day.

Lew.  I want to thank you for sharing your wonderful wife and friend with mr all these years,  You will always be my dear friend, as Virginia would say, " I love your from the neck up". I share your pain and loss. God Bless you always.

She was such an amazing and loving person. As a teacher she read some books aloud in class that I own and are still some of my favorites, "Charlottes Web" and "Brer Rabbit". The later being so good I asked for it for my birthday and it is currently sitting on my bookshelf today having made many, many moves with me over the years. Her handwriting was absolutely gorgeous. So much so, that I kept several of the letters she sent me as an adult, not only because of the beauty of the words contained on the pages but simply because of the delight of looking at her handwriting.  She taught me my favorite poem by Edgar Allan Poe, "A Dream Within A Dream". I remember hanging at her house and playing with her dog Thebou as she told me the story of how he was named after a character in a French children's book and then proceeded to tell me stories of how her daughter used to run around the house after Eric was born yelling, "Mommy, Mommy why did you born him"?  She always said, life doesn't get any better than when you are eight.  I think she was right about that. 

She was one classy lady with the ability to make everyone around her feel a little happier and a little more complete. Virginia, here's hoping that wherever you are you make as magical as you did here.  I will be thinking of you every day at high noon and you know exactly what I mean. Peace-

We consider Virginia a close friend of our family and will miss her for the remaining years of our lives. She played a significant role in the education of our children, something we appreciated then and continue to do so today.  We share in your sorrow!
