Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Walter was born on May 4, 1924, in Fort Worth to Henry Kirby and Ethel Mae Taylor. He served his country from 1942 to 1946 in the North Atlantic as a signalman second class in the U.S. Navy.
The traditional outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking. Walter loved the game of golf and had won some golfing tournaments in his time. He will be dearly missed.
Walter was preceded in passing by his parents and his wife, Georgia Taylor.
Survivors: Children, Kirby Taylor, Vicki Hunter and Janie Taylor; grandchildren, Ricky, Danny, Deann, Tricia and Tiffany; and four great-grandchildren.
