Howard Wayne Morris, 82, was born September 29, 1943 in Vernon, Texas, to Howard Norman and Nina Ruth Morris. He was raised in White Settlement, Texas, and attended Brewer High School. He went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2026.
Wayne was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Sheila Story Morris, as well as his parents. He is survived by his children: Skip Morris and wife, Cora; Kristi Rush and husband, Craig; and Rusti Morris. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Austin Green; Ryann Green and wife, Nicole; Philip Morris; Kyra Rush; Rusti Morris, Jr.; and Sean McKinney. He was also blessed with a great-grandson, Hayden Green.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Crowley Road in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Wayne’s name to your local youth sports charity, preferably boxing, as that was Dad’s lifelong passion.
