Wayne was born in Fort Worth on Feb. 11, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. Tilson and Dorothy Cartwright Tilson. Wayne was a 1969 graduate of Eastern Hills High School. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Christian University. A favorite memory of Wayne's was his years as the ice house supervisor at Six Flags Over Texas. He remembered fondly his trip last year to Australia to be there for the birth of his grandson, Carter Cutrer, who shared his birthday. He enjoyed traveling with friends, especially to Las Vegas, Nev. He was a huge fan of the Texas Rangers and loved to go with family to the games. He owned and managed a successful HVAC business for over 30 years.
Survivors: His daughters, Mandy Murphy (Kellie) of Fort Worth, Chelsea Cutrer (James) of Austin and Whitney Tilson (Kevin Leer) of Fort Worth; sister, Patti Tilson of Granbury; brother, Richard Tilson of Alvarado; great-aunt, Mildred Ford of Bedford; grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby and Jesse Stevens, and Ava and Carter Cutrer; and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
