Funeral Service: 3 pm Saturday March 30, 2019 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm Friday March 29, 2019 at Laurel Land.
WV was born on April 15, 1947 in Waxahachie, TX to Wiliford and Elsie Donawho. He lived in Crowley, TX at the time of his passing. He graduated from Paschal High School in 1966, and was very proud to be a Paschal Panther. Vince loved life and tried to live it to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, singing, dancing, and, most importantly, he enjoyed being around his family and friends. Vince did not know a stranger! If you spoke to him once, you were considered a friend forever. His friends and Family never wanted for anything if Vince around. Vince’s proudest roles, however, were husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his wife of 42 years, Pat, with every beat of his heart and did not rest until she had what she wanted or needed. He also adored his 2 children, Steven and Tracy. He worked hard to make sure his kids and grandkids had what they needed to be happy and healthy.
Vince was preceded in death by his wife, 2009; father 1959; mother, 1986; Sisters, Christine, 1987, Beatrice, 2007, Geraldine, 2011, Brother, Jim, 2016. He is survived by daughter Tracy Purkins and husband Brian Purkins of Lavon, TX; son Steven Donawho of Crowley TX; Grandchildren, Joe Purkins of Bowie, TX, Danna Purkins, Jake Purkins, and James Purkins of Lavon, TX, Addie Donawho of Crowley, TX. Sisters, Ima Jean McReynolds and husband Earl McReynolds of Burleson, TX, Jeanette Benton of Benbrook, TX, Linda Crew and husband Carl Crew of Mansfield, TX; sister-in-law, Jean Donawho of Burleson TX; and MANY MANY nieces, nephews, and cousins.
