Bill was born on May 26, 1942 in Wareham, Mass.; the son of William E. and Leonie Clark.
Bill is a Vietnam War Veteran. He served three tours and for his service he earned many awards and medals including The Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, The Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Airman Crewman’s Badge, Aircraft Mechanics Badge, and Four Overseas Bars. After serving 21 years in the military Bill was Honorably Discharged in 1981.
Bill truly lived life to the fullest and had many hobbies and interests including fishing, traveling, photography, coin collecting, hunting, cycling, golfing, as well as going on road trips in his Harley Davidson and Corvette.
Bill married the love of his life Bess on February 3, 1968 and was blessed with three daughters, eight grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Wednesday, April 20 at Shannon Funeral Home in Watauga. The burial will be following the services at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at 2:30pm.
Bill was preceded in death by his father William E. Clark, mother Leonie Clark, sister Jean Dowell, brother Russell Clark, sister Virginia Russell, niece Robin, and nephew Brian.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Bess Clark, three daughters Donna Wilburn, Kara (Jessie) Clark, Diana (Jeff) Lord; sister Carol Clark, brother Alan Clark, eight grandchildren Brianna, Skylar, Hunter, Jordon, Emily, Wyatt, Zoie, Zious; and great granddaughter Delilah.
