William Douglas Hamilton

Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Beacon Baptist Church, 4950 N. Haltom Road, Haltom City. Interment: Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.

Johnny was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Fort Worth. He served in the Navy on the aircraft carrier Bon Homme Richard, which he was especially proud of in that he was able to serve his country and also see parts of the world that he otherwise probably would not have.

He was a free-spirited person who enjoyed laughing, cutting up and enjoying old memories. He was especially proud of his three sons, whom he felt he had raised to be pretty good fathers, husbands and citizens. We will forever miss you, Dad, and Paw Paw. You were one of a kind!

He was preceded in death by his lifelong love and soulmate, Beverly.

Survivors: Sons, Kelly Hamilton and wife, Mickie, Darren Hamilton and wife, Tammy, and Todd Hamilton and wife, Kelly Ann; brother, Donald Hamilton of Haslet; sister, Connie Hamilton of Eagle Mountain; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other family members and friends.
