William was born on December 15, 1926, in Maypearl, Texas, to the late Charles Rogers Haney and Sarah Stovall. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1944 and soon after enlisted in the Army, serving his country for two years during World War II. Following his service, William worked for Pangburn’s Candy before founding his own business, Haney Motors.
Known for his sharp intellect, generous spirit, and deep devotion to family and friends, William was passionate about classic cars and enjoyed traveling to new places throughout his life. His positive influence touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
William is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Faye; his children, Netta Eason, Paula Hutchinson, Bobby Haney, Clinton Muesse, and Randy Muesse; nine grandchildren, Deana, Misty, Dusty, Tabitha, Michael, Bradley, Travis, Matthew, and Timothy; sixteen great-grandchildren, Brittany, Dakota, Paige, Piper, Payton, Tatum, Colter, Raven, Trinity, Kylie, Cody, Hope, Jacob, Maddie, Cede, Emma; four great-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Corrine,
Cooper, Conner; and his sister, Sara Sampert.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Haney, and his son, Roger Haney and Lonnie Muesse.
A funeral service will be held on January 24, 2025, at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth, Texas at 11 am.
William’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and integrity will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
