William C. (Carl) Wiese was born on October 14, 1930 in Iredell, Texas and went home to be with his Lord on September 1, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. Service: 11 am Tuesday at Hallmark Baptist Church, 4201 W. Risinger Rd. Fort Worth, Texas 76123. Visitation is from 2-4 pm on Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. The family will also receive friends from 9 am until 11 am at the church on Tuesday, prior to the service. He met Pansy Lee Prater in 1944 and the two married on September 17, 1951. They were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary this year. Carl came to know Christ at a Billy Graham Crusade in 1953 at the age of 23. He was a godly man who served his Lord and his family well. Carl went into the United States Air Force in 1950. He was stationed at Sheppard AFB TX, Chanute AFB IL, Clark Air Base Philippines, and Alexandria AFB LA. He was a propeller and rotary wing specialist and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked for General Motors, General Dynamics and was a barber for many years before retiring in 1992. Later in life he learned how to do woodworking and became quite the craftsman. He and his family have been faithful church members for years, joining Hallmark Baptist Church in 1965. Through the years he has served in many capacitates including: Junior High Sunday School teacher, JR High Department Head, deacon, trustee, treasurer, and Sunday School Superintendent. He has driven the church bus and has served as Builders Class Group Leader along with his wife Pansy. God blessed them with two children, Terry and Pamela. Pamela went to Heaven in 1965 at the tender age of 7. Carl enjoyed his three grandchildren, their spouses, and his ten great grandchildren. He was a wonderful, caring, and loving husband, dad and papa.
