

Willie Dauniece Knoles "Dauniece", 88, completed her earthly journey on February 20, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1936 in Wood County, Texas to the late Dorma C. Sims and Willie A. Pruitt Sims. She graduated High School in Quitman, Texas.
She accepted Christ at an early age at the New Hope Baptist Church, located in Como, Texas. After relocating to Fort Worth, Texas, she joined the Rising Star Baptist Church on Evans and later joined the Morningside Missionary Baptist Church. Dauniece served in many capacities at Morningside Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to being a Missionary, she spoke at several women conferences. She also served on the Hospitality Committee. She served faithfully until her health failed.
Dauniece met and married Earl Knoles in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 10, 1956. To this union, two children were born: daughter, Rinada Lorraine and son, Edwin Stan.
She was employee at Buddies Grocery Store and later became an employee for the State of Texas in the Department of Human Services, Food Stamp Division for 23 years, until her retirement. She also assisted her husband Earl as a bookkeeper in his Conoco and Texaco Service Stations.
Dauniece loved spending time and socializing with her family and friends. She was a very good cook and loved to cook dinners for those that she loved. She was an excellent seamstress. She also loved catching up with her loved ones on the phone. Anytime you called Dauniece on the telephone, you knew the call would last at least thirty minutes.
Dauniece departed her earthly life on February 20, 2025 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. C. And Willie A. Sims and step-mother Zora Sims; her husband Earl Knoles; her daughter Rinade Knoles Harrison; brother, Calvin Wayne Sims; and sisters, Glendell Williams and Margaret Sanders. She leaves to cherish her memories; her loving son Edwin Stan Knoles of Grand Prairie, Texas; grandsons, Carl Knoles (Edith), Austin Ryan Harrison of Arlington, Texas, Arbin Ross Harrison of Desoto, Texas; 6 great grandchildren; sisters-in love, Aretha Knoles of Mansfield, Texas and Anetha Morman of Homer, LA.; special niece, Joyce Marie Roach of Arlington, Texas; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and church family and many other family and friends.
