I remember a time when I was working with Mrs Elzy on C-4N . She had just left a patient’s room and the call  light came on so I went in and the patient wanted me to turn him over and give him some water. After I finished he looked at me and said thank you so much Miss Elzy I smiled and I said oh I’m not Miss Elsie Im Rosemarie he said well your favor each other and I just smiled and I said OK you’re welcome sir. I will miss working with you , you were a precious soul and we’re always kind . Loved you until I see you again.❤️❤️❤️🙏

Aunt lou was such a loving, caring and full of life kind of woman!!!! I really looked up to her,admired her and i really enjoyed the talks we had....I will always treasure the memories we had!!!

Windell Elzy, RN how thankful I am to have known her. Elzy had an impact upon me beyond the four years shared working prior to her retirement. Elzy always presented herself well groomed, poised and with dignity. Thankful for the smiles, wit, knowledge shared and professionalism.  Well done Elzy. Spread your wings and fly our guardian angel. Dear Katrina, GOD bless you and your family.. Your Mother & I grew up in COMO, our families were friends, so there were the birthday parties & children programs at Zion Baptist Church.We enjoyed seeing each other ,after many years,at the monthly COMO breakfast & planned to lunch each year,when I vacationed here. It was wonderful when she called me 3 weeks ago,I was hopeful we'd talk again. You have the prayers of my sister Kaye & I,God loves You.   

Mrs . Elzy was such a kind and warm hearted person.. She made me laugh everytime we worked together on PCU. My condolences to the family,  know that she left us with such great memories at Baylor All Saints.

I remember Ms. Elzy when I was a new therapist  at BASMC. She was always so calm, no matter what the situation— this in itself was a great lesson to learn, as a new physical therapist. Sending love and condolences to her family and all that loved her. Thank you for allowing me to share this memory of Ms. Elzy! May her soul Rest In Peace.

My Condolences to the family. Katrina and Zaria my heart goes out to you. Often I would ask your mom about you both. She was so sweet to me when we would sit together on the back row with the ushers. I will miss her pretty smile and her kindness toward me.  I am Markysha Forrest mom. Zaria you have some special memories of your granny, hold on to those and I will be praying for you and your mom. I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs ❤️  

I have very wonderful memories of Wanda. I’ve been her hairstylist forever! I always looked forward to her coming in. She seemed to live life so easily. She was STRONG. I loved hearing stories about her family. How she loved her husband to taking road trips with her children and her helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone new she loved them. I will try hard to be that person💖

I remember Mrs Elzy's smile most of all. The strength and dedication she displayed while taking care of her husband was remarkable and certainly admirable. I had the privilege to make her acquaintance over the past few years as Mr Elzy's VA FWOPC nurse in the clinic and when he became homebound was reassigned to see him once a month. Mrs. Elzy was a beautiful person inside and out who loved her family so and was a stellar example of  a phenomenal woman. Family...keep your head held up high and be proud of the beautiful legacy that Mrs Windell has left behind. May God bless and keep you as my prayer.

Mommy I already miss you so much! I thank God I was blessed with such a sweet, thoughtful and kind mother who loved me unconditionally for 50-years. I’m going to miss dining out, going too plays, movies, traveling, And talking to you 4 or 5 times a day about nothing. I’m definitely going to miss your presence, smile, laughter and how  you use to get so tickled when something was funny. I will cherish our bond and love for eternity! 

I can't believe you finished the race so soon! I can still see your beautiful smile within my thoughts of you as I remember all of the times you'd kiss me on my face and leave ALL of that lipstick on my cheek. I hated it!!!! But NOW, I wish that I could have you kiss my face once more and leave ALL the lipstick on my cheek as you wanted to! Life without you will never be the same, but I will continue on, knowing that you are now living your best life, free of all discomforts. I love you, Aunt Lou.
