Woodrow lived in Kennedale, Texas.
Woodrow Sidney Jr. was born in Jasper, Texas on April 4, 1942, to Woodrow Sidney, Sr. and Tommie Ruth Sidney Upon graduating from J. H. Rowe High School, he was employed at the Visador Plant in Jasper, TX. He married Joe Ann Adams and later moved his family to Ft. Worth Texas. He was employed by Kodak in Ft. Worth, TX. Upon his retirement, he joined his brother at his barbershop and took great pride in his work as a Barber. He was so proud that, at that time, he was his pastor’s barber.
Woodrow and his family were members of Beth Eden Baptist Church where Dr. James Boatner was his Pastor. He was a faithful member until his illness.
Woodrow was preceded in his transition to eternal life by his parents, his wife of 61 years Joe Ann Sidney, and two brothers Chester Sidney and Robert Sidney.
He is survived by his two sons Darryl Sidney (Dimitri) and Dondrick Sidney; two grandsons, John Derrick (Javin) Morgan and Darry Bryant Sidney. Two great granddaughters; Journey and Jersey Sidney. Three sisters in law; Bobbie Smith, Helen Lee (Harper) and Beatrice Sidney and brother-in-law; Louis Charles Adams, Jr.
Woodrow was loved by all including his nieces, nephews, cousins and all who knew him. His greatest joy was his two sons and being a caregiver to his wife for over five years until her death.
Woodrow was a good man who took pride in helping others and his family. He was very generous and kind; always made everyone feel welcomed. Woodrow was always impeccably dressed and had a great smile to match. He will truly be missed.
