Reflections of Life
Wylean Hall Jones was born on April 4, 1924 to the parents of Asberry Hall and Minnie Sutton. Wylean was a native of Troup, Texas in rural Smith County. Wylean attended Troup public school system and united with Liberty Baptist Church where she was baptized. Wylean joined Rising Star Baptist Church shortly after settling in Fort Worth, Texas. Wylean met and married Isaiah Jones on January 6, 1946. Nine children were born from the beautiful union of Isaiah and Wylean Jones. Wylean surrounded her children with love throughout the years and introduced God into her home as her rock and foundation. Wylean worked over twenty years at Continental National Bank as a dedicated employee and a hard worker. A few years later she united her membership to Prince Memorial Baptist Church and ten years later she decided to change her denomination from Baptist to Holiness. Wylean later joined at Love Sanctuary Church of God In Christ. Wylean loved singing and she was a member of the Women’s choir called the “Spiritual Sanchuette’s”. Wylean was a mother to all and everyone loved her sweet spirit and warm hugs. Wylean was untouchable in the kitchen as everyone waited patiently for her meals and desserts to be prepared. The family gathered year after year to indulge in mama’s cooking and love that was expanded throughout the home. Wylean helped in raising her grandchildren and even great grand children. As soon as you step into mama’s house, she waited patiently for you to embrace her with a warm hug. Mama did not have to spank you if you were in trouble; all she had to do was look at you and you would start to cry. Mama loved to wrap her purse around her neck when she shopped in public and give out black eyed peas on New Years. Wylean loved to sit on her porch at the residence where everyone came to gather and spread love. Wylean enjoyed watching her daily gospel television shows and she prayed in the morning, noon and night. Wylean loved to pray and she always reminded everyone to keep Christ first in their life. One of Wyleans greatest joy was her husband Isaiah of 65 years and her family. Wylean and Isaiah created a legacy and the legacy will cherish and uphold the love that was birthed. On Sunday, July 31, 2022 Wylean Jones transitioned from earth to glory. Those left to cherish her memories are:
