On June 10, 1967, in Fort Worth, TX, the baby girl of Jimmie Ray Lane and Annie Lois Howard was born. Yolanda Lynette Lane accepted Christ at an early age at Greater Mt. Tabor Christian Center. She attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School where she was a founding member of the Prancing Kittens Dance Team. In 1988 she received her high school diploma from the Polytechnic High School. As an adult she loved to dance, go out with her first cousins & friends, and watch the Dallas Cowboys.
In her alone time she often wrote her prayers she wrote :
“Father God,
I am so thankful for your mercy and grace working in my life. I pause today to say thank you for the many many times in the past that you have intervened for me. Thanks for your strength, provision, wisdom, and peace. Thanks for always being there in my time of need.
Amen”
One of greatest joys was being able to see, and spend time with all of grandchildren.
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, Yolanda fell asleep into the arms of Jesus. She was proceeded in death by her father Jimmie, Mother Annie, grandparents and a host of relatives that he missed dearly.
Yolanda left to cherish her memories are her daughter Sameria, her sons Gary (Dana) & Justin .
Grandchildren Matthew, Deja, Janyah, Jamiyah, Noah, Gary Jr, Jayda, Justin Jr, and Gianna.
Sisters Sophia Asberry, LaFreda Lane- Adkins, Delois Lane and Vanessa Lane.
Nieces Latosca, Stephanie, Jacquelyn, Kyla, and Courtney
Nephews Lloyd, Willie Jr, JaMarion, Sir Ashton.
Fiancé: Fred Hamilton
