Dale Yvonne Grimmett Daniels, 91, of Burleson, Texas, passed away on October 12, 2026. Yvonne was born to Johnnie Dale Grimmett, Sr and Clara C. Barnes Grimmett, June 22, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1953 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas, in 1957. She was the mother to two children, grandmother to four, and great-grandmother to one. But she was a mentor, friend, and teacher to countless others.
She is survived by: her son, Daniel Dale Daniels, and spouse Cathy Daniels; her daughter Dana Clara Ochs, and spouse Jason Ochs; her grandsons: Byron Daniels, Matthew Landers, Dale Landers, and Chisum Landers; and her great-grandson, Levi Daniels.
She was preceded in death by J.D. Grimmett, Sr. (father), Clara Grimmett (mother), Vivien Hollingsworth (sister), Johnnie Grimmett, Jr., and two beloved nieces and one great-nephew: Pam Kidd, Judy Jones, and Mark Kidd.
Yvonne was a Fort Worth Native and a devoted teacher for Fort Worth ISD for over 31 years. She taught Art to 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grade and all content to 5th grade. She moved to Burleson, Texas, where she lived for 54 years. She loved to work in her yard, watch her birds, and spend as much time with her family as she could. Her main priority in life was to be with her family and enjoy every day. She enjoyed talking about life, the day’s ins & outs, her “grandpups”, and football with her son, daughter, and grandsons every day; there wasn’t a day that went by that Yvonne wasn’t in the middle of a conversation with her family. If it was about her family and her kids, Yvonne was in the center of it all. She enjoyed life and the lives of others. She followed many of her former students on Facebook and adored keeping in touch with them. Yvonne was always about “her kids”, and she lived her life for her son, daughter, and grandchildren. Yvonne was a devout Christian and believed wholeheartedly in the promises of Jesus.
A visitation is scheduled for October 19, 2026, at Rose Hill on E. Lancaster Ave. Yvonne’s funeral service will follow on October 20, 2026, at Rose Hill, where she will be laid to rest, with a graveside to follow. Flowers can be sent to Rose Hill.
A special thank you to Kathy Daniels for making Mom look beautiful, as always.
