Ernesto Obdulio Cortez Sales

He was born in El Paraíso, Chalatenango, El Salvador on August 29, 1963, to Jose Salome Cortez and Cruz Sales de Cortez.

He attended school in El Paraíso and graduated as a mechanic from a vocational tech school in El Salvador.

Ernesto was passionate about soccer, traveling back to his home country, and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Salome Cortez.

In addition to his mother, Cruz Sales de Cortez, Ernesto is survived by his beloved wife, Silvia Patricia Cortez Florian. Additionally, he is survived by his cherished daughter, Lisbeth and husband Ryan Walsh of Framingham; sons Ernesto Alonzo Cortez and Randy Cortez of Framingham; his brother Luis Gustavo Cortez and wife Lilian Cortez of Framingham; his sisters, Maria Pedrina Cortez of Dallas, TX, Martha Edith Arteaga and husband Isidro Vidal Arteaga of Dallas, TX, and Ofelia Marlene Martinez and husband Alfredo Mata of Fitchburg; his granddaughters Mia and Lucia Walsh; his nieces and nephews, Geraldine Cortez of Los Angeles, CA, Gustavo Cortez of Framingham, Stacey and Melissa Murcia of Dallas, TX, Gustavo Arteaga of Dallas, TX and Cindy Arteaga Castro from Dallas, TX, Gabriel Guevara of Los Angeles, Katherine Henriquez and Junior Mata of Fitchburg, MA. And many brother and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
