

Estela Rosales (formerly Pundt) passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on December 16th, 2025, in Ashland, Massachusetts.
Estela was born in El Paso, Texas, earned her GED, married, and was a homemaker for her husband and two children. She was a devoted mother who was an active member of the PTA, was den mother for her son's Boys Scout troop, and was a dedicated hospital volunteer. She eventually divorced but continued to care for her children working as a meat-wrapper at Furr's Supermarket in El Paso, Texas. She was an active member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters & Butcher Workmen Union and was key in promoting women's rights to become butchers.
"Stella" remarried and moved to Richardson, Texas, where she pursued her love of flowers, became a Master Florist, and worked at McShan Florist in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed working in both fresh and silk floral design and often helped decorate major hotel lobbies and local hospitals in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She divorced and married once again and moved to Duncanville, Texas.
She continued to work at McShan's until retiring after 29 years of loyal service. Stella divorced one final time and moved back to El Paso, Texas, to live close to her brother and sister again. During the pandemic, Estela moved to Massachusetts to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
Estela enjoyed traveling and was blessed to have visited England, France, Italy, and Switzerland twice in her life. She also traveled to Mexico and Canada. Estela loved going to museums, public gardens, concerts, musicals, and the symphony with her daughter, family, and friends.
She was an avid reader of biographies and romance novels and was always ready to discuss current events. She was a deeply religious woman, known for her unconditional love and unending generosity towards everyone she met.
Estela is survived by her daughter Katherine Valovcin (Douglas), son Michael Hernandez (Kendra), grandsons Zachary, Derek, Darren (Jessica), and Daniel (Kaylan), granddaughter Maddie, six great-grandchildren, brother Jose Rosales II (Graciela), sister Maria Mueller (Gerhard, d. 2018), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Armando Rosales (d. 1991) and Jesus Carlos Rosales (d.1990).
No services are planned at this time.
