BLONDIET, Franklin "Skinner" Of Framingham passed away peacefully Saturday, June 24, 2017, after a long illness, surrounded by his family. In his younger days, he enjoyed coaching various sports that his sons played and spending time with all of his children. He enjoyed going to the beach in South Boston and fishing at Castle island. His favorite pastime was watching old western movies, and of course, baseball. He loved his Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed watching other sports with his family but would not cheer for any other team but the Sox. Even as much as he loved watching the Patriots games with his family (who are avid Patriots fans), he wouldn't cheer them on. He even went as far as to cheer on the opposing team just to make us mad. He loved spending time with his family. They were the most important things to him, and if you happened to want to watch something different on T.V. than he did, good luck! However, if you were one of his grandchildren, that was a different story. He adored them and would give them anything they wanted.
Franklin leaves behind his loving wife of over 55 years, Joanne. He was also the beloved father of 8 surviving children and their spouses : Franklin Blondiet, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Natick, Renee Brodeur of Worcester, Michele Baker and her husband Steven of Framingham, Bryan Blondiet of Framingham, Sharon Papandrea and her husband Edward of Framingham, Nicole MacInnes and her husband John of Framingham, Ivy Blondiet of Framingham, and SPC Tasha Blondiet, of Framingham. Surviving grandchildren include Geoffery and Jason Brodeur, Clayton,Cassie, and Cora Baker, Tia Papandrea, Franklin Blondiet III, Brady Blondiet , Collin, Jesse, Kevin, Jayme, and Payton MacInnes, and Gregory and Angelina Rattray. Frankllin is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Sarrison, Mary Carroll, and Patricia Manning. He was predeceased by sisters Anna McCormack, Helen Carlson, Edith Connors, and Jenny Mayo. Also predeceasing him was a son-in-law, Glen Brodeur.
