Norma chica, one of my fond memories is growing up and being at the table having lunch or dinner with the Bauer family......
Norma chica, always had extra plates at her table [like having 7 children was not enough :-)]

When I moved to Boston, while we were sharing memories, I asked her why do you always cook spaghetti. She said, well I had to feed you all, meaning her kid’s friends.

Dear Norma, this is not a good bye, I will see you again.

There is a memory about Norma that makes me smile.

When I got married, Norma couldn’t come to the wedding. We lived far away, and travel was difficult.

A few months later, I saw Norma at a reunion. She found me mingling awkwardly, and pulled me aside into a hallway. She took my hand firmly and handed me a wad of cash. There wasn’t a card or an envelope, but it was a lot of money.

She gave me a hug and only said: Now go have lots of kids.

She walked away briskly and that was it.

That was five years ago. Today I have two beautiful little girls: one a newborn, and the other 3 years old.
Norma and these girls are almost a 90 years apart, yet they still share 12.5% of their DNA. I hope it’s the stuff that helped Norma say what she thought and live a purposeful life.

Thanks for the memories.

It was always special to see Norma at family events. Her pride and love for her family always was so evident. She raised a beautiful family full of love and care. So very sorry for your loss. I know Leslie and the children will miss her very much. Just remember she lives on in her amazing family.

My Mom was a person with a lot of character , she didn't care what others could say, she just say what was on her mind, she always said to us to do what we want in life because if you wanted you will have it; Love you mom and thank you for the memories, wait for us in haven
