Shari J. Walters

FRAMINGHAM – Shari J. (Covington) Walters, 87, of Framingham, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 4, 2018 with her family at her side.
Mrs. Walters was born in Bonham, Texas. She was the daughter of Granville and Merle (Ball) Covington. She was raised in Sherman, TX, and was a resident of Framingham, MA, for over forty years. Mrs. Walters was a member of the Sudbury United Methodist Church and an active member of the Framingham Garden Club. After raising her children, she worked as an account executive in advertising. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed refinishing furniture and collecting antiques.
Beloved wife of the late Jack L. Walters; devoted mother of Carmel I. Walters of Alexandria, VA, Margaret C. Walters of Arlington, VA, Matthew B. Walters and his wife Kristen (Anderson) of Hopkinton, MA; loving sister of Sue Gudgel of Sherman, TX, Jim Covington of Pottsboro, TX, Charles Covington of Denison, TX and the late “Mickey” Doris Dickfoss; proud grandmother of Elizabeth Verrecchia of Washington D.C., Jacqueline Verrecchia and Caroline Verrecchia both of Arlington, VA, Michael Walters of Boston, Jack Walters and Katherine Walters both of Hopkinton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 9:30AM at the Sudbury United Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, Sudbury. Burial at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham will be at a later date.
