Veronica Dolores Fantry

Veronica Dolores Fantry (Wentway) of Framingham, MA, formerly of Park Ridge, New Jersey, passed away on November 8, 2025 at the age of 94. She was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on August 17, 1931 to Charles and Eva Wentway.

She was retired from a long time career at Park Ridge High School. She could be seen on Saturday nights for over 50 years attending mass at Our Lady of Mercy church in Park Ridge with her family and friends.

Ronnie was passionate about her family and also her friends she made working at the High School and the many years as a volunteer. Ronnie and her husband William delivered food for Meals on Wheels for many years. She loved traveling with her husband and enjoyed learning about the culture of the many foreign countries she toured. Ronnie was an avid Wheel of Fortune watcher and puzzle solver and enjoyed daily crossword puzzles. There are many ceramic treasures she made and gifted to family and friends. Ronnie loved to read and do book exchanges with her good friend Rose Davies. Both Ronnie and her husband Bill enjoyed baking Christmas cookies with love every year for the family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband William Thomas Fantry, and brothers Charles Wentway and Richard Wentway.

Veronica is survived by her children; Jack (John) Fantry (Jane), Mary Beth Fantry, Peter Fantry (Liz Luthin) and Paul Fantry (Esther). She also leaves four grandchildren; Amanda Fantry, Crystal Fantry, Brian Fantry and Benjamin Lombardi. Veronica is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and their children.

As per Mom's request, no services are being held. Memorial contributions may be made in Veronica’s memory to Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Park Ridge, New Jersey. (tbvacnj.org)
