I met Walt in 1974 while visiting my cousin who lived in Franklin , Anytime I went up to Franklin I would always try to go see Walt and Christine, I haven`t been up there in about 9 years because of health problems myself - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Walt and his brothers Gary and Charles whom I also knew - I love and miss you people up there and I will try and make it up there in the near future to see the people who are life long friends to me..

My love and prayers are with the friends and family of Walt. You will be missed, you wild and crazy, funny and caring man. All my earliest childhood memories, growing up on Clay St. are filled with the Turners, across the street and in the kitchen on poker nights. 
Bowling leagues, softball.. on and on. 

Some of the best times of our lives, and the Turners were all a part of it. 

Walt was like an older brother to us when we were growing up.  I will always remember the sledding trips at Twin Creek; playing softball, football, and basketball in our yard and at Germantown Dam; and camping at Hueston Woods.

Walt went to school with my older brother Bobby Yeary and they were close friends during those years. Walt spent a lot of time at our house as they were growing up and my parents were very fond of Walt and made him feel at home whenever he came over. I was just a little girl then but can still remember the laughter as Walt and Bobby would tell jokes or some of the stories of the crazy things they did together. Walt was so easy to talk to and when he did come over he made sure to ask how each of us was doing, we felt so close to him that we even thought of him as a big brother. My heart and prayers go out to his family, may God give you all comfort and peace during this time.
