Bill was born on November 20, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is predeceased by his parents, William Tilghman Scott and Florence Fiske Scott, his brother, Donald Fiske Scott and his beloved wife of 52 years, Barbara White Scott. Bill is survived by two daughters, Ann (Delaney) Jewell and Susan (Don) Duritsch; and two grandsons, William Charles Burke and David Benthall Kennedy.
Bill grew up in Roland Park, graduated from St. Paul’s School in 1948. He attended the University of Virginia, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi. No surprise, Bill was involved in student government and worked in the community in Charlottesville. In 1952, Bill enlisted in the Air Force.
While in the Air Force, Bill was a photographer. One of his first assignments out of Nellis AFB was to photograph the atom bomb tests in Nevada. He was then stationed in Korea before his discharge in 1956.
Bill and Barbara married in 1963. They raised their two girls, Ann and Susan in Fairfax, Virginia. Bill worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for a number of years before owning a small lawn/landscaping company. While in Fairfax, Bill was involved in his church and local politics. He felt the call to serve again and was elected to the City Council. He had many hobbies and greatly enjoyed shooting, fishing, model trains and most of all spending time with his family.
Bill and Barbara moved to Ohio is 2005. While in Ohio, Bill started writing for political columns online. He was passionate about his country and remembering the sacrifices and privilege it is to live here.
A memorial service will be at 1:00pm on September 28, 2019 at Anderson Funeral Home 40 North Main Street Springboro, OH with The Right Reverend Rommie M. Starks officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12pm until 1pm at the funeral home.
