Condolences to the family, Thelma, Louella, Joe all the Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren. Ms. Betty was just the sweetest little lady that drove around and waved and stopped to talk for awhile if she saw you. She seemed like nothing bothered her. I remember when she made the newspaper becoming one of the oldest nurses to go to school and finish. I said to myself Ms. Betty did that. She didn’t need any help she would just go for it and do it.  That’s where the family strength came from . Ms. Betty was the definitely “The  Matriarch of the Family “ Rest in Heavenly Peace.

My dear sweet friend, I truly will miss you. You touched my heart in so many ways. May GOD wrap is LOVING ARMS around your family and give them his peace.

My memories of traveling with my parents from Franklin, Louisiana to VerdunVille, Louisiana, where my mother was born, to visit my grandmother and her husband, are truly special. It was during these visits that I met Aunt Betty, and I have many fond memories of our time together, including her cooking meals, playing in the yard with the kids, and hearing her warnings to “y’all stay safe playing near that highway, Leonard Jr.”. She was an incredibly kind and caring person who made a lasting impact on the neighborhood children. I will always treasure the time I spent with her between 1967 and 1975. 

As I've grown older, I often reflect on those days as a pivotal time in my life, helping me to achieve my dreams and goals which created a better life for my family. 

Aunt Betty, my grandmother's sister-in-law, was a truly special woman who will always be remembered fondly. To the Mandelberg family, please accept my sincerest condolences. I love you all 🙏🏾💪🏾💯

I am so sorry to learn of Miss Betty's passing.  To Thelma and Louella, and to the families, my deepest heartfelt condolences. I would always ask "how is Miss Betty?" when I would meet with either sister in the hospital's cafeteria.  Miss Betty and I had one thing in common...we lost sons! I know her beautiful memories will live in the hearts of her families. Please be comforted to know that Miss Betty is in Jehovah God's memory (Psalm 83:18; Psalm 112:6) Keeping the families in prayer.
