Cynthia Elaine Sidney

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Israelite Cemetery in Centerville, Louisiana.

Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory, her two loving daughters, Nevelyn Batiste-Ward (Eligha) of Red Oak, TX and Tanisha In’Naam Batiste of Plano, TX; her grandchildren, Brittany Dickerson of McKinney, TX; Erin Batiste of The Colony, TX; Eligha Ward IV of Red Oak, TX; sisters-in-law, Carol Sydney of Franklin LA, Lynda Sidney of New Orleans, LA, and Barbara Sidney of Monroe, LA; great-grandchildren, Marley Rae and Mason Idris, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will forever continue to keep her memory alive in their hearts.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Ottoway Sidney; mother, Nevelyn Taylor-Sidney; her brothers, Henry Allen Sidney, Clarence Sidney, Harold Lloyd Sidney, Leon Sidney, and James Ronald Sidney; her sister, Joyce Marie Thomas; her only son, Zack Batiste III; granddaughter, Tiffany Joy Batiste; her two great-great grandchildren, Lauryn Renea Scallion and Darius Marquis Scallion.
