Henry "Nutty" Burris Jr., born on March 15, 1950, transitioned peacefully on January 2, 2026, at the age of 75 at Legacy Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in Franklin, Louisiana. He was a resident of Franklin, Louisiana.
He leaves to cherish two children, Henry Shaw of Dallas, Texas and Sophelia (Jerret) Felton of Lafayette, Louisiana; two brothers, Chester (Sandra) Burris of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and William Burris of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Birdella Jones of Berwick, Louisiana and Brenda (Larry) Green of Franklin, Louisiana; three devoted nieces, Catherine Colbert, Charlotte Woods, and Belinda Lightfoot; a devoted nephew, Rudolph Short; four grandchildren, three great grandchild, along with a host of family and friends.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Louise Burris, Sr.; five sisters, Gertie Bell McDaniel, Sadonna Lightfoot, Betty Jean Brooks, Doris Burris, and Arthur Jean Hamilton
