Irving Lumpkin III

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the Franklin Main Street Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Irving Lumpkin, Jr. of Franklin, Louisiana; his mother, Shina Short of Morgan City, Louisiana; his son, Irving Lumpkin IV of Youngsville, Louisiana; seven brothers, Malik King of Franklin, Louisiana, Adam Short, Kevin Short, and Joshua Short, all of Morgan City, Louisiana, Vinnie Austin of Verdunville, Louisiana, Cevonte' Landry and Corde' Landry, both of New Iberia, Louisiana; his four sisters, Shavon Kinchen of Franklin, Louisiana, True Short of Morgan City, Louisiana, Tatyanna Jackson of Verdunville, Louisiana, and Chardonnay Landry of New Iberia, Louisiana; along with a host of family and friends.

Irving III was preceded in death by his brother, Earl-Myn Lumpkin; aunts, Chiquita Lumpkin, Lillie Freeman, Jacqueline Bourda, Anna Richardson, and Shelia Fine; his great grandmother, Rose Mary Smith; grandfathers, Junious Joseph and Larry Smith, Sr.; his cousins, Rickey Smith, Jr. and Zy'Meir Butler.
