

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, Louisiana. Burial will follow in the New Providence Cemetery in Centerville, Louisiana.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 49 years, Ethel Mae Mouton Howard of Centerville, Louisiana; two daughters, Bridget Stansbury of Centerville, Louisiana and Kim (Marcell) Mouton of Jeanerette, Louisiana; three sons, Charles (Almetra) Stansbury, Jr. of Centerville, Louisiana, Anthony (Dala) Stansbury of Lafayette, Louisiana, and David (Cheryl) Stansbury of Baldwin, Louisiana: a nephew he raised as own son, Anthony (Ashley) Howard of Patterson, Louisiana: a niece he raised as his own, Angela Howard of Franklin, Louisiana; fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Howard and Andrew Payton; five brothers, Leonard Griffin, Ivory Payton, Saul Howard, Andrew Payton and Joseph Howard; four sisters, Emma Nico, Annie Jones, Ora Broussard, and Melvina Hawkins; maternal grandparents, Saul and Lizzy Bowles Howard; and paternal grandparents, Taylor and Mary Payton; mother and father in law, Bowman and Lillian Mouton, Sr..
