Connie L. Hopkins

Connie L. Hopkins, 67, of Franklin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.

She was born on September 9, 1952 in Sidney, the daughter of Harper and Marjorie (Ruling) Constable.

Connie worked at O'Connor hospital for over 40 years. She was a very selfless person. She always went above and beyond for the people she loved.

She enjoyed camping, bowling, dancing, word searches, and vacations with her kids and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; Lee H. Hopkins, Franklin; her ex husband, Kenneth Mercadante, Delhi; her daughters, Michele (Brian) Lowe, Delhi, Laura (Doug) Jones, Delhi; Ashley (Dustin) DeWitt, Oneonta; her Son, Adam Hopkins, Franklin; her sister, Susan Taylor, Unadilla; her brother, Harper (sue) Constable, Franklin; her grandkids, Shelby, Kendra, and Breanna Lowe, Myrette and Aiden Jones, and Landon and Owen DeWitt; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main Street, Franklin, from 1 to 3 pm, where a funeral service will take place at 3 pm with Bert More officiating.

Burial will take place in the spring at Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the O’Connor Hospital, 460 Andes Road, Delhi, NY 13753.
