Kathy was born in Franklin in 1947. Like most of her siblings it was at home. She loved growing up on the family farm. She worked with her siblings and the fur babies. As she got older, she helped take care of the growing family with gardening and cooking. She always talked about using two loaves of bread every day to make school lunches for her and her brothers.
Kathy is survived by a very large and loving family, including Dawn Zahar (Binghamton) Michael Zahar and Media Landry (S. Windsor, CT). Missy the cat and Rocky the grand dog. Jack and Joanne Taggart, Joe and Sue Taggart, Jeff and Lori Taggart, Patty Taggart, Lindy Taggart, and Pete Taggart and their loving families. Kathy loved visits from kids of all ages.
Kathy is predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Taggart; her brothers, Scott Taggart and Jim Taggart; and her sister-in-law Eli Taggart. Her cats Tagg and Art and Leo her beloved grand-dog.
Kathy was a graduate of Franklin Central School, then followed her passion of caring for people into nursing school at Albany Medical Center. Kathy worked in many areas in and around the hospital from cancer wards, ICU, IV therapy, ER, house supervisor and Hospice. She loved to help patients and family members. Her love of caring for people was always evident by the smile on her face.
Kathy had many hobbies and activities. First and foremost, spending time with family and friends. She loved gardening, painting, cooking, nature, animals and of course winning at cards or dominos.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
