

Monica was born in Troy, NY of parents Robert and Jane Gibeault of Stillwater, NY and attended Stillwater High School.
Monica’s purpose in life was caring for and healing others. Besides being a caring mother to her children, she often helped other children with their troubles. She worked as a home health care aide, nurse’s aide for Delaware Co. Public Health, and an aide for Catskill Area Hospice for over twenty years. She volunteered briefly as an EMT trainee with the Franklin Emergency Squad. She was a help and an inspiration to many, many people and she touched them with her kindness and love. Monica enjoyed her flower gardens, riding motorcycles, and cooking favorite family recipes.
She was a member of Franklin Garden Club, and Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA). She loved her pet dog Roxy and their daily walks. Monica enjoyed making crafts, knitting, and designing her jewelry line. She established her business “Spiritual Creations” selling jewelry, and offering Reiki healing and loved to take part in craft shows, design classes and spiritual retreats.
She attended Sacred Heart Catholic church of Sidney, NY and a member of Sacred Heart Rosary Society and served as a Eucharistic minister.
Monica will be lovingly remembered by her husband Tom of forty-three years and her children: Tom Jr., wife Lucia and a very special only grandson Diego Wilber of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a daughter Melanie, husband Sasha Sandow of Nyack, NY.
She is also survived by her sister Mary Marchand of Franklin, a brother Robert Daniel (Debra) Gibeault of Stillwater, NY, a brother-in-law Mark (Cindy) Wilber of Kirkwood, NY, and nephews and nieces.
An Ecumenical funeral service will be held On Friday January 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Franklin United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hill and Rev. Gordon Polenz , officiating. Burial will be in the Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main St. Franklin from 6 to 8 PM at which time the family will be in attendance
