Tom was born on September 18, 1949 in Cooperstown, New York. He graduated from Cooperstown High School in 1968. He went on to dedicate 40 years of his career to Corning Inc., Oneonta, where his hard work and quiet determination earned him the respect of his colleagues.
Tom had a deep love for the New York Yankees and a cold Budweiser beer. Though he didn’t say much, when he did, his words were sharp, thoughtful, and—more often than not—hit the nail right on the head.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Parshall of Franklin, NY; stepson Michael Fletcher of Hastings, Michigan; brothers Carl Parshall of Morris, NY, and Steve (Barbara) Parshall of Daleville, VA; sisters Judy (John) Urbin of Henderson, TX, and Linda (Richard) Frazier of Holland, TX; and many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Tom was predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Lois Parshall of Toddsville, NY, and his sister-in-law, Nancy Parshall.
