Ahren Leroy Roach, age 82, of Miamisburg, OH; died Sunday June 28, 2020 at Sycamore Hospital. Ahren was born in Miamisburg, OH on January 12, 1938 to the late Tandy Taft Roach Sr and Nellie (Kidder) Roach. He was a member of Franklin Faith Tabernacle and was a machine operator and foreman with Digitron for 15 years and retired in 1997. Ahren was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Wesley Roach, Betty J. Morris, Marietta Trent, Albert Roach, Tandy Roach, Lewis Roach, and Corenia Pigg. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Roach; his children, Ahren Leroy (Nancy) Roach, Jr., Donna Annette (Tim) Bond, Peggy Lynn Coyle, and Lisa Diane Coppock; his grandchildren, Mike Bolin, Jeremy Bolin, Tracie Makuley, Jason Roach, Summer Fisher, Joshua Santos, Whitney Brandenburg, Glen Coyle, Joe Bond, and Heather Bond; his great grandchildren, Brianna Perez, Madison Roach, Dakota Roach, Autumn Fisher, Bryson Brandenburg, and Abigail Fisher; his great great grandchild, Liam Perez; his sister, Janet Trent; and his brother, Bill Roach. Funeral Services are 1pm Tuesday July 7, 2020 at Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd St Franklin, OH with Pastor Richard Gifford officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11am to 1pm.

Grandpa Ahren, was in fact my step-grandfather, but at no point in any of those years did he ever think of us as anything less than his own grandchildren. There was never a qualifier of "step" in front of granddaughter. I was always just his granddaughter. He had the very best laugh and I'd look forward to his homemade fudge for weeks leading up to every holiday. It's hard to put into words just how much Grandpa Ahren will be missed, not just by me, but by everyone who's lives he had touched. -TJ
