To Allegra's sons: I worked with her at PNC, what a great person she was! A literal ray of sunshine! She spoke so highly of you both and was so proud of you. She loved making plans for dinner and ice cream, she loved you so much. 

To Allegra's mom: I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine what it must feel like for you at this time. 

To the whole family: You all are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. It doesn't get easier, but it does get better.

Allegra, You were my biggest cheerleader, my bestie forever, my confidant,  and my therapist for so many years. I so envied your love of life. I worked with Allegra for the last year here at Bethany Village.  She was so kind and always had a smile on her face.  She was a joy to work with.  Keeping you all in my prayers.

My name is Susan Anschutz Walker.  Someone local to your area shared the news and I felt the need to write.  Allegra and I lived on Todhunter Road in Middletown while we were in elementary school together.  I have memories of going to the pool, dressing up for Halloween, riding bikes, and doing cartwheels.  We both ended up moving but these memories came to mind wanting to share them with you as someone who knew Allegra a long time ago.
I will be thinking of you as you celebrate her life this week.  

I'm Allegra's aunt, and when she was was about five years old I was teaching  English at Manchester Middle School in Middletown.  Allegra loved being scared so I used to read Poe's "The Raven" to her. When I came to the line, "Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore," she'd snuggle closer to me with eyes widened waiting for what would happen next. Allegra also possessed artistic talent. Once I took a crayon drawing she had made to a college art teacher for his comment because I thought the drawing was remarkable. The art teacher agreed pointing out Allegra's excellent composition and use of colors. And she was  only four or five years old! Later as an adult, Allegra showed talent in photography. I always admired how she would take a quick snap and upon viewing the photo, I immediately got the point. Allegra also excelled at calligraphy.

Allegra was a gentle soul who loved her sons deeply. Once she wrote me a letter anticipating a trip to South Carolina. "I can't wait," she wrote. "I think (the boys)will have such a good time splashing in the water and running on the beach." Her sons meant everything to her.   

Allegra only worked at Graceworks a year but her impact will be long lasting. She always was positive and upbeat. I admired her style and giving spirit. My prayers are with the whole family as you mourn her passing. May her positive spirit be a source of comfort to all of you in the months to come.

I had the privilege of getting to know Allegra in the past year. We met at a church function.
Her great smile and very caring personality was very catchy.

Her love for music was something we talked about often. During my work travels I would hear a song on the radio and I would forward her a clip from the song. She would reply in humor.

Other conversations included getting to know her love for God. Her faith was very strong. 
She often spoke about her great friends and family. She mentioned that God certainly placed great people in her life.

Allegra, we both had mentioned that we were looking forward to having a dance together one day. Though that never happened here on earth but certainly when I see you again in heaven it will be an honor to have that dance.

You will always bring a smile to me. When I listen to the radio certain songs will always remind me of you.

So sorry for your loss. Allegra was a very special lady. We would see each other frequently at outside concerts and she loved music and dancing. She will be missed.
