

Allen A. Bolling, 75, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer and heart problems. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on February 11, 1935 to Albert and Evelyn Upton Bolling. Allen retired from Ohio Department of Transportation in 1997. He had also worked at Armco Steel Company from 1959 to 1971, had operated an auction barn, and had driven a truck for a few years, hauling steel. Most recently, and until his illness began in 2007, he made deliveries for a driveshaft manufacturer. For the past 25 years he enjoyed spending time with friends who had an interest in classic cars and the events involving classic cars. He greatly enjoyed cruising in his 1965 Thunderbird. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Bolling. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Loma Emerson Bolling; daughter, Debra Bolling; sister, Delilah Breeding; and grandchildren, Laura Bolling, Joshua Bolling, Kaycee Bolling, Landyn Delph, Kaitlin New; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and aunts, Gloria Hendrickson and Bette Laubach. The family would like to express their deeply felt appreciation to the wonderful staff of Hospice Care of Middletown and to Dr. Albert Malcolm and Dr. Kevin Strait for the compassionate care given during his illness. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with the Reverend Maurice Dunn officiating. Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM Friday, February 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
