Anna Marie Akers, age 73 of Franklin, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 7, 1940 in Middletown, Ohio; the daughter of the late Herschel and Marie (Duff) Walters. Anna was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She was a 1958 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Franklin nearly all of her life. Anna is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward Darrell Akers, as well as numerous cousins and friends. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 East Second Street, Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Vernon Risner officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
