

She worked as a teacher in several local schools and later as a school principal for Franklin City Schools. She felt one of her greatest achievements was helping children. The daughter of a minister, music was an important part of her life. She was an avid pianist and enjoyed playing for area churches and friends her entire life. She continued to play piano and organ with her husband for their local church after retirement. She also played piano for occasional funerals at Anderson Funeral Home.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of 60 years, Paul Dowd, her parents, Hayward and Luanna Ingram, and her sister, Carol Feck. She is survived by daughters, Kathy (Andy) and Dona (Mark), grandchildren Megan (Ben), Emily (Austin), Katie and Max and great-granddaughters, Elsie and Eleanor.
Visitation will be held Saturday 16 March from 11:00 to 1:00 at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, OH. Funeral service will follow at 1:00. She will be laid to rest at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a contribution be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dayton, OH.
