

Arthur Gebele 75 of Franklin died Thursday August 30, 2012 at Sycamore Hospital. He was born March 19, 1937 in Dayton the son of John and Helen (Steinmetz) Gebele. Arthur retired from GM- Delphi after 22 years and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a charter member of the Franklin Emergency Squad where he also was Squadman of the year. He loved trains and was a member of the Miami Valley Gardens Railway Society. He enjoyed setting his trains up in the backyard for everyone to enjoy. Arthur was also a member of the Noon Optimist Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Feldman and a brother, Robert Gebele.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty (Sanders), a son, James, a daughter, Diane (Doug) Akers, 4 grandchildren, Travis, Cody, Austin and Blake. He also leaves a sister, Berneice (Tom) Russell, 1 niece and 4 nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 am Sept. 8. 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home 1357 E. 2nd. St. Franklin. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am until time of service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.anderson-fh.com.
