Audrey Ruth Brown, age 85 of Middletown, passed away Saturday morning, January 15, 2011 at her residence. She was born November 10, 1925 in Middletown, the daughter of Leon Ellis and Edna Curlis Ellis. Audrey was a seamstress and an active member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Pamela husband, Michael Young of Camden, Ohio and Melissa Cornett of Middletown; four grandchildren, Travis wife, Dorothy Young, Heather husband, Stacy Mullins, Karen Young and Matthew Cornett; five great grandchildren, Logan, Devyn, Trevor, Morgan, and Mason; and her brother, Donald Ellis of Middletown. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Edward Brown in 1998; her son-in-law, James Daniel Cornett; and her parents.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Susan Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Tuesday. Entombment will be at the Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum.
