Barbara Dietz

Barbara Ann Dietz, age 82 of Middletown, passed away at Garden Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was born June 27, 1930 in Middletown, the daughter of William H. Dietz and Ethel E. Beaty Dietz. She retired from Davey's Pony Keg. In her early years, she taught kindergarten Sunday school at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Middletown. She was also very active in volunteering at the Doty House. In the 1960's, each Christmas she would deliver dolls, that her mother had made little dresses for, to a local children's home. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Bud Dietz; and her sisters, Mary Herman Agee and Audrey Clinton Hancock. While she never married or had children, Barbara was very devoted to her nieces and nephews, and they to her. Barbara is survived by her nieces, Donna Bill Pickens of Atlanta, GA, Sharron Stewart Harnell of Atlanta, GA, Bill Vicki Agee of Nashville, TN, Larry Hancock of Trenton, OH, Kenny Hancock of Middletown, OH, and Dan Lynn Hancock of Trenton, OH. She is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews and 13 great great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Draxler officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Adult Summer Camp, Stepping Stones, 5650 Given Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
