Barbara Ann Ives

Barbara Ann Ives, born on 27 February 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on 30 June 2024 in her hometown while doing what she loved most - traveling. Barbara was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy Bunker and had an older sister, Connie Spenla, and a younger brother, Craig Bunker, all of whom have sadly passed away.

On 23 April 1979, Barbara married the love of her life, Billy Ives, who has also passed away. Together, they raised two wonderful sons. Shawn Ives is happily married to Tonya Ives and they reside in Pavo, Georgia. Billy Ives Jr. is happily married to Michelle Ives and resides in Sarasota, Florida.

Barbara dedicated nearly 30 years of her life as a Nurse at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many. After Barbara retired, she cherished the precious moments spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren, Danielle Ives, Kirsten Gorga, Cody Ives, Kelsey Beetham, Evangeline Mayor, Ezekiel Mayor, and kyle Ives, brought immense joy to her life. Barbara was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Levi Ives, Wyatt Ives, Jace Ives, Hudson Ives, Kylee Ives, Deegan Ives, William Ives, and Emmy Ives who filled her heart with love.

In her leisure time, Barbara found solace and happiness in sewing alongside her lifelong friends, enjoying fishing trips with her husband, and embarking on new adventures through travel. She lived a life brimming with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Barbara's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. The impact she made on our lives will be remembered each day, and her warm spirit will continue to inspire us. May her soul find eternal peace.
