Barbara L Stiens

Born on June 15, 1940, in Middletown, Ohio, Barbara was known throughout her life for her steadfast faith, resilient spirit, and kind-hearted nature. She devoted herself fully to her family and took great pride in the life she and her husband built together.

Barbara was the cherished wife of Donald G. Stiens, Sr., with whom she shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised two children: Donald G. Stiens, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, and Jennifer L. Smith and her husband, Mark. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Alexander Smith and Aubrey Stiens, who brought her immense joy.

At home, she created magical moments in daily life and during the holidays, filling the house with warmth, tradition, and love. She often played the piano simply for joy, inviting her family to gather around and sing along to their favorite songs — moments that will forever echo in their hearts. Barbara's love for cooking was evident in the many recipes she eagerly tried from her extensive collection of cookbooks spanning various cuisines. Barbara spent many dedicated years working at The Mound, part of the Department of Energy, contributing her steady commitment and reliability.

Private services will be held at the family's convenience. Barbara will be laid to rest at Springboro Cemetery.
