Ben Rowland, age 43, of Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Kettering Emergency Center in Franklin of a blood clot. Ben was born in Middletown, Ohio on June 15, 1973 to Ronald and Patsy (Wolfe) Rowland.
Ben graduated from Carlisle High School class of 1991, and worked for Sonoco Flexible Packaging as an electrician. Ben was a sexy husband, the best father, obviously the favorite son, better brother and the grandson who never shaved his beard. He enjoyed spending time with his family...a true family man. He had an amazing sense of humor and quick wit and was so wonderful a few lines can't describe who he was. He enjoyed working on cars but hated maintenance, loved snuggling to watch movies on Netflix and playing with the kids. Saying Ben will be greatly missed by his friends and family is an understatement.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, LH Wolfe, Jack Rowland and Mary Cornett, mother-in-law, Barbara Sue Dolin and 10 sweet babes who passed before they were born.
Ben will be achingly missed by his wife, Amanda Rowland, of 18 love and passion filled years, his beautiful, adored and so loved children; Tyler, Rhea and Sunshine. He will also be missed by his parents Ronald and Patsy Rowland, his brother, with whom they aggravated his mom Jeremy (Robin) Rowland, his very loved nieces and nephews; Anna, Jeremy, Evan and Brooklyn Rowland, and William, Jeremy, Katelyn and Eli Dolin. His grandmother who couldn't get him to shave his beard, Shirley Wolfe, his father in law, Reece (Judy) Dolin, his brother in law Michael Dolin and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will also miss him.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 11th, 5-7 pm at Crosspointe Church of Christ in Franklin, Ohio with a memorial service to follow at 7 pm. Please no dark colors or business attire. Please wear Hawaiian shirts or bright colors, bring your yo-yo, comic book and if you can share and record a story about Ben on video to share with the kids later please do so.
