Bertha Curtis

Bertha Faye Curtis, Bertha Faye, age 70, of Ripley, Ohio, formerly of Middletown, passed away Saturday morning at her residence. She was born in Montgomery, West Virginia, March 21, 1940, the daughter of Ira and Olive Kelley, and lived most of her life in Middletown, graduating from Middletown High School in 1958. Her husband, John Foster Curtis, preceded her in death in 1994, and she was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas Ricketts, and by a brother, C. B. Kelley. She loved to work puzzles and crossword puzzles, and to be outside and enjoy the animals around her property. Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Rex Graves of Ripley OH; 5 grandchildren, Jesse Graves, Dawn Graves, Bryce Graves, Larame Lawson, and Justin Graves; 2 greatgrandchildren, Drake and Kaitlyn; and a sister, Brenda Whisman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 2, at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
