Betty "Betty Von" Lavone Evans

Betty "Betty Von" Lavone Evans, age 78, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Betty Von was born on September 21, 1946 in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late Crawford and Viola Branson (Holbrook).

Betty Von had an energetic and magnetic personality, that was personified by her big smile, and ability to make people laugh that brightened everyone's day. Family was very important to her and she loved taking care of her family and friends, and would feed anyone, even if it was a Pepsi and chips. Betty Von worked for the Franklin City Schools and retired in 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elmer Evans in 2021; her parents Crawford and Viola; and her brother, Dewey Branson.

Betty Von is survived by daughters, Vicky (Clint) Sanderson, Robin (Drew) Fries, and Holly (Keith) Raby; grandchildren, Myrandah (Josh) Couzins, Ethan Steele, Shelby Raby, Cheyenne Raby, and Shaylee Raby; great grandchildren, Forest Couzins, Everest Couzins, Addie Steele, and Zoey Long; brother, Crawford Jr. (Marilyn) Branson; sisters in law, Lisa Branson, Ada (Thomas) Brewer, and Diane (Gary) Elliott; and her faithful canine companion, Dandy; as well as many extended family and friends.

A visitation for Betty Von will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home. Betty Von will be laid to rest in Springboro Cemetery.
