Betty was born on November 1, 1933, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Leona Hay (Lime). A bright and energetic woman, Betty started her career as a legal secretary in Celina before discovering her true calling in childcare. Her love for children led her to many years of service at Christ United Methodist Church, where she touched the lives of countless families.
More than anything, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She shared 69 wonderful years with her beloved husband, Roger Stuckey, and was fiercely proud of her children, Julia (Mark) Glockner, Dave (Brenda) Stuckey, and Brian Stuckey. Betty’s grandchildren, Jared (Mal) Stuckey, Jenna (Kevin) Hughes, Drew (Courtney) Glockner, and Emily (Mario) Sebastiani, brought her endless joy, and she adored her great-grandchildren, Tysen and Tucker Trick, Cal Glockner, and Leo and Roman Sebastiani.
Betty’s zest for life was contagious. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether on camping trips or cheering on her grandkids at their various activities. A passionate bowler for years, Betty could always be found with a smile on her face and a competitive spirit in her heart.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her sister June Moothart, and her brother Robert Hay.
She is survived by her loving husband Roger, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a wide circle of friends and extended family who will forever remember her warm heart, infectious laughter, and joyful spirit.
A visitation for Betty will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home Franklin, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, OH 45005, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Entombment will take place at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens.
