Betty Jo Tussey

Betty loved the Lord and was a prayer warrior. Countless times people would call and ask her to pray and those prayers were answered. She attended the Roberts Drive Church faithfully for 68 years. Betty was a born leader; organizing church dinners and singing in church & multiple funerals. She loved her family most of all. She cooked many Sunday dinners for family, friends & ministers. Having 50 people in her home on Sundays was the normal; everyone was always welcome. She had a gift of making everyone feel like they were her 'favorite'.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Homer: son Tommy: daughter-in-law Paula: granddaughter Rachel: brothers Hugh (Bud), George, Melvin & Thomas Dunaway: sisters Faye Hazlett, Edith Reed, Georgia Rump: and many close friends she considered family.

Betty is survived by her sons Danny, Steve (Sandy), Cary (Sandy): 9 grandchildren Jeremy, Brandon, Ryan (Sarah), Ben (Tori), Isaac, Sara, Isaiah, Emily (Chris) Saporito and Blake Tussey: 14 great-grandchildren Tristen (Madison), Alec Neace, Conner, Chloe, Claire, Braxten, Alivia, Laken, Luke, Finley, Gracelyn, Emmalyn, Beckett and Vivian: 1 great-great granddaughter Iris, due in September.

Friends may call on the family from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM on Monday, August 3 , 2026 at Roberts Drive Pentecostal Church, 9569 Roberts Dr, Franklin, OH 45005. Funeral service to be held at 11 AM with Brother Jimmy Jewell presiding as well as Rev. Bennie Sutherland and Rev. Bruce Lamb. Burial to follow at Springboro Cemetery.
